Old Sukhothai National Park Photos

Wat Sa Si

A Temple

Wat Sa Si is a medium sized group of monuments situated in the middle of the biggest pond.

The sign says "The main edifice is the large rounded brick stupa in Ceylonese style," whatever the hell that means.

Wat Si Sawai

Another Temple

This was originally a Hindu temple assumed to have been built around the 12th century. During the second construction of Sukhothai it was converted to a Buddhist temple.

Wat Manathat

Yet another temple

Another pile of stones.

Buddha Action
